The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a set of security standards created by payment card companies (American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB, MasterCard Worldwide, and Visa International) to help protect against identity theft and other crimes. Entities that store, process, or transmit Cardholder Data (CHD) and/or Sensitive Authentication Data (SAD), or could impact the security of the Cardholder Data Environment (CDE) are required to comply with these standards. This course teaches I.T. professionals what PCI DSS is, how it affects the organization, and how to comply with the 12 principal PCI DSS requirements.
