Struck-By Hazards Safety Training

This course is designed for employees who may encounter struck-by hazards in construction or general industry settings. Struck-by hazards are one of OSHA's "Fatal Four" topics, aiming to reduce the leading causes of workplace fatalities. This training helps employees identify common struck-by hazards and implement measures to safeguard themselves and others.

This course was developed in alignment with OSHA's Focus Four Hazards training guidance. After this training learners will be able to:

• 12-minute video course
• Identify struck-by hazards in the workplace
• Give examples of the most common struck-by hazards that lead to incidents
• Recognize these specific struck-by hazards: flying objects, falling objects, swinging objects, and rolling objects
• Utilize methods to protect themselves from struck-by hazards including heavy equipment, mobile machinery, and vehicles
• Implement safe work practices and PPE to reduce the risk of struck-by hazards
