Bloodborne Pathogen Safety Training

This training is designed for individuals who may encounter bloodborne pathogens in the workplace. It’s ideal for those performing first aid, janitorial or housekeeping tasks, waste management, school roles, emergency response, or healthcare duties.

The course complies with OSHA 1910.1030 standards for Bloodborne Pathogen Training and covers the following topics:

• A 17-minute video training module
• Definitions of Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) and Other Potentially Infectious Materials (OPIM)
• Ways BBP are spread and transmitted
• Methods to reduce and prevent the spread of BBP
• Proper application of Universal Precautions
• A demonstration on cleaning bloodborne pathogens using universal precautions
• Guidelines for using personal protective equipment and disposing of contaminated materials
• Understanding and utilizing the employer’s BBP Exposure Control Plan
• Steps to take if exposed to BBP
• Key details about the hepatitis B vaccine
